Is my computer dead?

I have a Sony Vaio laptop. When I turn on the power the Vaio logo appears, followed by a white underscore in the upper left hand corner, then the screen goes blank. When i try to restart it in Safe Mode or Safe Mode w/ CP the whole screen fills up with chunky white lettering then freezes. When I try to restart it in last known good configuration the screen still remains blank. is there a way for me to fix this problem without having to take it to a professional?

This is a long one, but I REALLY need some advice here, I’m lost! It is a free-verse poem, and a good one at that. There is still room for improvement, however. "Curled into pursed smiles" doesn't really make sense, as pursed lips aren't neither curled nor smiling. In your first line, you capitalize Children; in the last line, you don't. You have to either capitalize them both or make the word night in the last line lower-case. "But, those who fear" should not have a comma. You might want to have some of these lines lower-case; they don't all need to be capitalized in a poem. You might want to consider changing "will be spared... For we feed from" so that they are two separate lines (will be spared/We feed). "We come to those who wish" should be "We come to those who wish for". "And to those we appear" should be "And by those to whom we appear, our demeanor will not be forgotten" - but that still doesn't make sense. It should REALLY be "Our demeanor will not be forgotten by those to whom we appear". Should the eyes really be innocent? These Children of the Night don't exactly seem innocent to me. On January 7 I had my 3rd c-section and had a beautiful full term baby girl, Savannah, 11 days later she died due to multiple congenital birth anomalies. I know it hasn't been very long at all, but I know I want another baby. The only thing is I'm not sure when to try again, my husband is scared to try again for fear of losing me. Cut my finger, had stitches, and it feels so weird!!!!?

I cut my finger 10 days ago. I had 6 stitches, and 2 inside the wound, for a total of 8. I just removed my stitches today as they were scheduled to be removed on the 10th day. But I noticed that I have hardly any feeling now where it happened, and if i push against it, it almost feels like a hard callus or something.... it's a bit tingly too. If you have some soup on hand you can do what I do--grease a baking dish, spread a cup of raw rice over it, place the chicken on top. I mix a can of golden mushroom soup, cream of mushroom, french onion, or beef boullion with a can of water and pour over the whole thing, dot with er or margarine, cover with foil and bake it at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Or you can mix a couple of eggs in a bowl, dip the chicken in it and coat it with bread crumbs mixed with garlic salt and bake it for the same amount of time. This works well with crushed french onions or crushed pork rinds too.

Does a parent who had lost custody of his first child for child neglect/neglegence have a chance for custody?

My ex and I are going through a terrible child custody situation here in California. I have NO criminal record what so ever and I have sole legal and physical custody of our children. He and his attorney are lying terribly about me I even had to do a drug test (I chose hair follicle and all was negative of course). My question is this, since he is lying and trying to prevent me from moving, I ran his criminal record. I found out he lost custody of his first child 15 years ago due to child neglect/negligence. He also has a ton of drug charges, battery, theft, and is on probation for DUI and just got another drunk in public. My question is...will his child neglect/endangerment chargers from his first child that is not mine matter in my case? Will that go negatively against him? He could only see his first child after awhile for visitation and it was court ordered that he could only see him if I was around....will any of this matter with my current case? Thank you

Then, it took no time at all - I could just put the DVD in, and it would freeze up. I first thought that it was a heat problem. I put the console in a more ventilated area - no good. I then took it apart, and washed the cheap thermal paste from the CPU and GPU and replace with higher grade paste - no good. I then starting reading more of how Microsoft used a few manufacturers of DVD ROMs, and that one company was not up to par. Has anyone heard of this? Has anyone had a similar problem? I was wondering if I should keep going to the gym considering that I have been wheezing for the past 2 weeks. My asthma has been in control for the past few years of my life and I was hospitalized for asthma attacks hats ago. I just fear that while I am working out it exacerbates. Color loss RGB to CMYK?

created a picture with bright greens in RGB/8 when i converted the picture to CMYK i lost all the vibrance in my greens. there all dull and boring. what can i do to get the vibrance back in my colors. i even tried editing the picture from CMYK and i cant even get the brightest green on the color picker. i can select it but when i use the brush tool its like half as bright. whats going on???

Could it be her tear duct again?

My daughter was born 6/3/06 and her doctor had said that one of her tear ducts were blocked or underdeveloped and it will improve in time which it did. For the past two months she has been tearing often out of her left eye. Do blocked tear ducts sometimes come back or is it maybe something else? I'm in the process of making her an appointment to see a doctor, but I'm curious to what it is and how it will be treated.

2003 Honda Metropolitan Help?

I purchased a 2003 honda metro from an auction and haven't got it to run yet. When I press the start on the engine will start and when I slightly move the the throttle back it shuts off. Also when I start and let it sit for 5 mins it will shutoff by itself. It has a fresh full tank of gas and the oil level is fine. Any tips for getting it running?

Has your doc ever checked you for hypothyroid? I hope so. Usually that is one of the first things they check for for fatigue. He may not have because u are younger. I am also uming he has checked you for autoimmune diseases as well. Fibro symptoms are very similar to Lupus, RA, and other autoimmune diseases. I would see a rhematologist if you havent already. Alot of docs diagnose fibro when they dont really know whats going on because they either did not look or there are no other signs. In the medical field fibro is a bad label to have because there is no proof that you actually have it. Many people push for or fake the diagnosis just to get pain meds. Which is terrible for those who really are suffering! I would definately ask for a referal to a rhematologist, thyroid labs, ANA lab test, and immflamatory markers. In my opinion you need to be happy with yourself and stop depending on other people to make you happy. You talked about old friends and an old boyfriend making you happy but you have to learn to be independent and make yourself happy first. I am looking to earn my D.D.S. degree but I would like to study at one of the US Virgin Islands. My friend studies at the Med school in Antigua. I think you need to get to the bottom of this, before you go any further with the relationship. Is she wanting to wait until marriage, or is it more about all aspects of intimacy, like you said? I don't think it would be inappropriate to come out and ask her at this point. Maybe she has some or abuse issues she is dealing with. If that's the case, it could be years before she is ready for intimacy - if ever. okay I went on holiday to Spain on 27th march for my friends 18th birthday so It was obvious that a lot of alcohol, on the 30th/31st march I got really drunk and ended up meeting a girl in a bar, I ended up having (for the first time) before we started of with her on top of me we we're both naked and there was obviously skin to skin contact, I wanted her to perform oral on me but she said she wouldn't with out a condom, my friend (drunk also) kept coming in the room saying I'm a virgin, anyway we went back to hers and she tried putting the condom on but couldn't so I ended up putting it on correctly, he started having ual and performed oral on each other (I wasn't protected) midway through , when we had finished I took the condom off myself and I don't think it had teared, I got back to my apartment at 6:30am and went to sleep till 10:30am and felt fine, a few hours later I had dryskin round my mouth and noticed a pimple on the corner of my mouth ( I've already had a cold sore before according to my parents when I was younger) then my friend kept saying I might have caught something of her this led me to a great deal of paranoia for 1 month and 2 week and kind of still continuing, I went straight to the doctor when I got home I he said it looks like and prescribed me antiviral medication, I went to see another doctor for an STD test he only tested me for chlamydia and gonorrhea the results came back negative, a few weeks later I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and had to go back to the doctors for help, she seem to think I was worrying too much and the chances of me catching anything are really slim, later through the week a managed to find out the girls name and message her via facebook, she said that she wouldn't be that much of a ***** and lie about not having anything and that she had a test a month ago which was clean and has not had since me and apparently she hasn't had a cold sore ever, I went to see the previous doctor that did my recent STD test and he did the full screening (apart from because I had no symptoms and he doubts I have that, got the results on rfriday morning and they all came back negative but I'm thinking about getting another in 2 months just to be safe even though close friends think this is stupid, I'd like to know what you think and your answers would help me a lot as this will help convince me that I have nothing, thank you for your time
