How does a woman get a job in a man's world?

There is an ethanol plant here and I want to work there but I heard they only hire men for the "grunt" work and women for the office. I am NOT an office worker! I am dependable,,,,strong,,,,independant, I can even run a forklift. I used to work in a facility that makes lead back-up batteries and pulled off my fingertip and went to work the NEXT day. I didn't even have surgury till 2 days later. What do I put on my application to get me noticed? I don't have a college degree which is fine as you don't need one to work there. If you was the boss what would catch your eye? TY to all who answers !!!!!
