Cut my finger, had stitches, and it feels so weird!!!!?

I cut my finger 10 days ago. I had 6 stitches, and 2 inside the wound, for a total of 8. I just removed my stitches today as they were scheduled to be removed on the 10th day. But I noticed that I have hardly any feeling now where it happened, and if i push against it, it almost feels like a hard callus or something.... it's a bit tingly too. The whole sensation almost freaks me out. Is this pretty normal and will it ever go away?
