Shouldn't we teach our children values courageously in schools?

obviously we learn some values in school but it isen't... prioritized or focused on. i never learned in school that we should do unto others as ourselves or that eye for an eye is harsh. i think stuff like that is the most important thing we can learn. the wisdom. where is wisdom cl? by courageously i mean, that no one/organization,etc... will stand up and say that it should be an goal or aks to teach values, which is probably because a few, lets say, narrow minded people will feverantly object to their child being taught anything of true value but by themselves. there are some things that are givin in this world on how people should treat themselves and others that should be the general will of humanity don't you think?
