Creative Writing Dilemma?

Without some foreknowledge of the series plots (other than your obvious reference to murder) It is impossible to give you an answer... and I'm a professional writer of science fiction and fantasy. As the author, you should make up your own mind. I will say this however, none of the choices you offered above would be any I would have chosen.
