Why is it when a black person embraces their culture it's deemed anti-white or anti conformist?

this is so true i get so much flack for my dreads its crazy "your mother africa" "you don't like whites or something" even with black women they tend to look at me as too black because i love how god made me i tend to wear earth tones but hip hop fashion so i don't get it
