Malkin has a torn ACL and MCL?

He's expected to be out 4-6 months. So ya, his season is done. It is a big blow to the Pens lineup, but I was reading an article about it and the Pens GM Ray Shero makes a good point. He said that at least this happened before March 1st (trade deadline). Pens will have about $3 M free cap space to make a move before the deadline. They'll probably just get a rental player to help them make a push in the playoffs. The Penguins will be alright. Malkin has been injured for a substantial number of games this season, and they've found ways to win.
